Harmony Church Feedback and Complaints Procedure

Harmony Church values our relationship with church members, visitors at services and events, as well as attendees of community initiatives and parents or caregivers of a young person in our children or youth programmes. The primary purpose of the Harmony Church feedback and complaints policy is to provide a process for dealing with feedback and complaints relating to the behaviour of, or activities and decisions taken by the church’s staff, trustees, or volunteers. It is our hope that your interactions with our staff, volunteers or others in our church are positive, respectful, and hope-filled.

How to give feedback or make a complaint

Anyone can give feedback or make a complaint, you do not have to be a regular attendee of Harmony Church.
You may have general feedback, suggestions, concerns or encouragements that you would like to pass on.

If you believe you have reasonable grounds to make a complaint and you cannot resolve the issue informally or believe it would not be appropriate to do so, you should submit your complaint in writing using the online complaints form below or email us at feedback@harmonychurch.nz
Your submission will be viewed in the first instance by our Operations Lead in close consultation with one of our Pastors and/or an appropriate Trustee of the Harmony Centre Trust board.

What happens next?

Once you’ve told us about your concern, we will acknowledge your contact within 7 working days. We will investigate it and discuss a resolution with you.

If we can’t resolve it straight away, or if the issue is of a very complex nature, we will give you an idea of how long it will take us to investigate the issue. We’ll also let you know who will be managing it for you and commit to regularly communicate with you until the matter is resolved.

You may also want to seek independent advice or assistance from:
• Your personal lawyer
• The Citizens Advice Bureau
• A Community Law Centre
• The Office of the Privacy Commissioner (for privacy issues)

Harmony Church is committed to taking your comments seriously and addressing them accordingly.
We will; 1. treat you with respect, in a fair and courteous manner at all times. 2. Be clear and timely in our communications to you. 3. Always comply with relevant NZ law.
